I happened to know that our local grocer carries the Tisdale label, but not the Moscato; only the standard four varietals. But, being the shameless person that I am, I went straight to the guy who does their ordering and asked if he could get us some. (And by “some” I mean a case of it for us to share.)
I admit, when she first mentioned it to me, I was a little hesitant because I knew that the other Tisdale wines retailed for about $3.49 a bottle. Now, you won’t find me complaining about a cheap bottle of wine, but when you go below the $5 mark, you just never know what you’re getting into.
The Tisdale Moscato is a very light white wine, definitely on the sweet side, but not sickeningly sweet like so many I have come across. It is refreshing and clean enough that it makes a great go-to wine for every day drinking and pairs well with just about anything on the grill, making it a great summer choice. Crisp and citrusy, it is a winner in my book, and at under $4 a bottle, a can’t-miss pick!
You can learn more about the Tisdale wines on their website.
Sold!! LOL...I've had Tisdale wines before...and enjoyed them. But yeah, I haven't seen the Moscato before- that sweaty glass is totally turning me on, though!! The hunt is on!
ReplyDeleteYour glass is making me thirsty and it isn't even noon yet! hahah..I gotta try this one!
ReplyDeleteI have neither the time nor the energy to spend ridiculous amounts of money on wine...yes I'm cheap when it comes to such things (I'd rather have a really nice hunk of cheese to go with my cheap wine, ya know?). Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI think I've tried the Tisdale before too, but not the Moscato. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever had Moscato before. I need to fix that:)
